Book Review- Make Your Own Rules Diet by Tara Stiles

I loved this book. Tara eats the way she does yoga, with awareness and fluidity. She recognizes the uniqueness of each body and offers suggestions and encouragement in order for you to learn to listen to your body.

My takeaway- No two bodies are the same. Work on developing a better relationship with your body in order to best nourish it. In Tara’s case she uses meditation and yoga.

What does this mean for you?
When dealing with the food allergies and reactions that go along with candida it is important to be aware of your body and its reactions. Listen to the small changes and responses your body has to certain foods. Being able to hear your body when it speaks to you and then giving it what it needs can help the process of healing the gut. Feeling fatigued? Its ok to take a nap, but take note of what you ate and see if you can eliminate it from your diet. It’s that easy. Your body talks to you constantly, its time to listen!
